Flywheels

DP range of flywheels are manufactured from two different materials:

a. 4340 steel

b. 7075 Aluminum with 4340 steel center plate

All our flywheels are designed to complement all hi performance engines. The advantages of a custom flywheel are:

1. They are lighter, allowing an engine to rev more freely

2. They are also perfectly balanced, reducing stress on other components

3. They can be custom made to exactly fit any after-market clutch

Supplied in T condition, fully machined, with or without the outer ring gear, these flywheels offer considerable advantages over original equipment. Most importantly the ring gear is machined straight from the core material giving excellent weight distribution and wear characteristics. The Flywheels are either finished in a polished way or can be QPQ tuftride coated giving a black surface with increased wear resistivity.

These flywheels are at the pinnacle of automotive component manufacture in Europe today. DP offers a full engineering service with CAD design and FEA analysis to fulfill all of our clients aspects and special requests. We can produce according to manufacturers original specifications or completely redesign the flywheel to incorporate specialist clutches.
